TLDR: Just don’t. You’ll most likely end up getting all your assets stolen.

Let me explain: a large portion of my assets disappeared. I was worried, and contacted support on Twitter addition to emailing the support contact methods listed on the atomic website. The only thing I got back from the support email was an auto-generated “we’re really busy” email.

I did get a response from atomic support on Twitter. (Go search Atomic Wallet on Twitter) I was certain that I was taking to the right people, but apparently I was not. All of my assets were stolen. Thousands of dollars vanished.

Silly me right? Well, maybe not. It’s now days later. I’ve emailed the (allegedly?) official support listed on the atomic website to no avail. Twitter has very clear rules regarding accounts impersonating others. Atomic could make sure these accounts (which they claim are not affiliated with them) do not exist. They clearly haven’t done that? Why? My hypothesis is that he accounts are all linked. This. Wallet. Is. A. Scam. There’s a very good chance you’ll get robbed if you download this product; there are many reputable options available. Just choose another one. If you don’t believe me, just do a quick Twitter search and check out the stories of other people who have had similar experiences.

Please note that the person who contacted you on is not a support agent, but simply an impersonator.
Unfortunately, at this point we can do nothing to prevent those fake accounts from appearing on Telegram,Twitter, Reddit, etc., we can only report them when we see them. There's nothing stopping malicious actors from creating account that have our logo and naming them "Atomic Wallet support" or anything like that and it is also not possible to stop them from writing messages to users on Telegram. It is just something that is impossible for us to do.

What we may suggest doing right now is, in case if you still got funds left in your wallet, hurry up and transfer it to another wallet as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, we are not able to track hackers. It's possible to see addresses that assets were sent to, however blockchain technology is completely anonymous, so it's impossible to link it to exact person on the internet. As a decentralized wallet we can't retrieve your lost assets or cancel transactions, as much as we want to help, that's not allowed by blockchain technology. -KA
