Description

"The limit to a story is the world's imagination" this is true for Corpus. Corpus breaks the lone author myth by allowing its members to write a story together. It provides the capability for a story to take a different path or unblock a story that might have an abrupt ending.

Reading a story doesn't require registration. Once a user registers, they have the ability to create a story and are available for collaboration on someone else’s story. Members can invite other members to collaborate on stories (they get notified about pending collaborations). A registered user can create a story and assign who can read and who can add to the story. The user who creates the story can select possible collaborators from past collaborators or select new collaborators based on their location (country), their language and story category interests. They can also allow only themselves to read it (the story will be hidden from other members effectively like a diary). The member, who creates the story, can create the title, assign the suggested language of the story and categorize the story.

Users can download a story from the latest or popular listings or by searching story titles and content. The user can see various characteristics of the story from the listings such as number of authors, number of views, date created, date of the last content addition and member ratings. These downloaded stories are added to their own personal library. This library keeps track of updates and will update the story should there be new content added by other members. Corpus will send out a notification to the member’s device should they have allowed device notifications when there is a new update to a story.

If the members are allowed to contribute to a story, they can request a reservation on the story. A reservation means the invited/requesting member can keep other members from adding to the story for a certain period of time. In this limited time period, the reserving member must add their contributions to the story. The reservation time allowed for the member is given to the member on a successful reservation. Halfway through the time allocated for reservation, the member will receive a reminder that the contribution has not been fulfilled (in the case where the member has not published yet their contribution). Once the reservation time expires, other members will be allowed to contribute to the story.

Corpus aims to have the least interference in the actual content published and it’s up to the members of the platform to flag the last content of a story as inappropriate. After a certain amount of members have flagged the story then the inappropriate content will be automatically removed from the story.

Hm

We already do this with google docs, doesn't seem to bring anything extra to the table other than finding strangers.
