Poor customer assistance for foreigners
The app looks nice and is easy to operate. However, the registration process is very difficult for foreigners. If you have an international driving permit and a Taiwan driving permit, it is a piece of paper. However, the app will only take a photo of a license which is the exact rectangular shape of a small drivers license card. When I appealed to 3 different agents, none of them were able to help. They said someone would reach out to me via email eventually. The WeMo app agents were much more helpful.
Nice app and nice customer service
If you have an ARC and Taiwan scooter license, enrollment is quite easy, takes a day or two. You have to enter your Taiwan credit into the app, and then you are set to use a Gogoro any time.
Great customer service, I have contacted them twice through the app and was able to resolve my problems directly with them. I used English and some Chinese. They even refunded me an accidental “Start Ride” from my end.
I have used this app many times, and have gotten convenient, cheap transport many times. Would recommend. Also it’s easier to register here than with iRent.
Please make the app available in all App Stores
The App seems to be only available in the Taiwan App Store, which is really troublesome for foreigners.
Whenever there is an update for the App, I need to change the country/region for the App Store to Taiwan just to be able to download the update. The update is not available in the German App Store. Please fix.
