• Blog on hiking knowledge (only in traditional Chinese for now).
• This app integrates with the Health app. When allowed, Apple Health app integration allows you to track walking distance and workouts for each hike.
• Hiking records exported by hikingbook are information-rich in text, photos, and weather. When you import a GPX file directly from Hikingbook, photos and weather information are fully displayed.
• Supports common datums (WGS84, TWD67, and TWD97) and common grids (TM2, DD, and DMS) in Taiwan.
◆ PLEASE NOTE ◆
• Hikingbook uses GPS tracking in background when the tracking function is enabled. Continuous use of GPS in background may cause battery drain and decrease battery life.
• While GPS can improve safety in outdoor activities, it should be noted that GPS cannot wholly replace other traditional navigation tools such as compass and maps. In addition, positioning errors or no-signal situations may arise depending on vegetation, topography, and weather condition. Prior knowledge of GPS and its limitations is strongly advised.

Really like it but…
I was a paid customer for 1 year, and i still tell my friends to get it, but decide to quit the paid version, since I can pay for global hiking apps instead of one that just focus in Taiwan. Is not worth the paid version, when comparing to GAIA Gos that costs less and offers internationally way more content. But sure, the free version of Hiking Book is great and if you are just stuck in Taiwan forever you might want to consider the paid version. 4 stars, 5 if were a bit cheaper, personally i don't see a reason to be one of the most expensive year paid GPS app on Apple Store.

While we're sorry to see you go, we must first acknowledge the fact that we are all grateful for your support, whether it's the past paid membership or your recommendations to friends. Concerning the price, we understand we do not offer the most competitive price on App Store compared to other internationally renowned, much-more established outdoor apps such as the one you mentioned; from what you've used as the comparison we'd assume we were not performing up to expectation especially in terms of map data and sources. It is certainly something that will keep us working hard in the coming days, and we hope in the not-so-distant future, we could have more satisfying content to offer. As a bootstrapped startup company in Taiwan, we have always been trying hard to provide the best level of service and quality within our less-than-5 person team capacity, and we look forward to further optimize our offers and plans when we are more capable of providing more. Your feedback will help us on the road to balance cost and value, and we want to thank you especially for that. 如題，之前下載的檔案一直打不開，每次按下去就死當，連自己曾經的活動紀錄也是打不開，點下去就當機，本來之前用的蠻愉快的！
