Kwanele is a support resource for people at risk of Gender-Based Violence in South Africa.
The key features of Kwanele are:
• LIVE CHAT
Talk to our trained ‘first response’ staff at any time for advice, support and connection to further services.
• PANIC BUTTON
Contact authorities or armed response and/or notify chosen contacts in an emergency using a ‘panic button’, with the option to turn on ‘shake to activate.
• LIVE STREAMING INCIDENTS
Stream video and audio to the cloud, where it will be stored securely in our servers and can be viewed or shared afterwards.
• GET SUPPORT
Find and contact appropriate local support services, including but not limited to legal services, counselling, rape crisis and child protection centres.
• COLLECT EVIDENCE
Keep a record of incidents and upload documents and images associated with your case to store securely for use as evidence.
Our anonymous app enables you to get help fast in an emergency and guides you through the process of laying a charge and getting a conviction.
