Switching subscriptions to different tiers

In general the interface is good and stable.

But the subscriptions between different tiers is a bit complicated if you want to switch in between under yearly plan. Seems nothing to do with the content provider but the calculation breakdown is not transparent enough.

Unfair billing rules for patrons

If you subscribe to a monthly creator in the end of a month, you will still be charged again soon in the first day of the next month. If you cancel a subscription during a month, you will immediately lose the tier rather than at the end of the month. These issues can be resolved technically just like other services to be fair to both patrons and creators. However, Patreon chooses to be unfair to patrons.
