What is this actually for?

After logging in and selecting the companies that hold your information, the system automatically sends out emails requesting them to stop selling it. However, these companies often respond that they won’t sell your information but need to share it for necessary purposes, such as contacting you or sending parcels for your purchases on their platform. This makes me wonder, what is the point of purchasing your service?
