This app provides a tool for comparing the relative amounts of fiber, sugars, and protein in a food item. This helps a user understand if a food is nutrient-dense or high in sugar relative to two other food components, fiber and protein. As with all medical and nutritional support tools, users are advised to seek a doctor’s advice in addition to using this app and before making any medical decisions. Certain medical conditions in particular may require a specialized understanding of a food’s nutritional components that go beyond the functions of this app and, thus, necessitate the guidance of a doctor or registered dietitian, or both.
