Description

Five Cents helps you track your expenses and incomes. The minimalist approach does not distract you from the main focus either adding entries or checking insights interacting with a clean and simple interface.

The best way to manage personal money is to enter every expense you've made manually. Adding next utility, groceries, subscription, or snacks expense you think: "Is it possible to get rid of this purchase in my future bill?". This is one of the important steps in personal money management.

The insights screen is designed to be simple but pretty powerful: check your spending by weekly, monthly, and yearly periods. It helps understand when you spent more than expected and when follow your budget's rules.

Initially, the app was made based on the spreadsheet's point of view. You can notice the common traits between Five Cents and Google Sheets, Excel, Numbers, Notion tables in design. The basics were kept and all the power of charts was added.

Be your personal finance manager and take control of your money, wisely plan your budgets, use the app on daily basis and you will see good results in the near future.

Five Cents offers monthly and yearly renewing subscription that includes a 7-day free trial and a lifetime purchase. Each of them gives you Pro access to all the app's functionality. You can manage or turn off auto-renew in your Account settings at any time after purchase. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.

Super clean and fast app, feels like Things

This app is like Things 3 to me in terms of design and minimalism. It’s really the cleanest expense tracking app I’ve seen. At the same time, it contains all the core functionality I need and shows all the necessary info in a very elegant way.

Here are my favorite things:

1. Ability to set a second currency and fast currency swap.
2. Cleanliness of the main screen, a visual representation of the total costs for each day, as well as the simultaneous display of expenses in a secondary currency
3. Pleasant and fast recording of expenses
4. Clean stats design
5. This app is less than 3MB and super fast, just incredible!

Tracking finances is a habit and the application should help to form it. And I really want to come back to this application. Simply amazing work!

Things I would love to see in the future:

1. Ability to customize the app icon. It’s very important for me, because I want to keep it on the main screen
2. Search for the entries. Sometimes I really want to find some big purchase fast
3. Yearly stats. For me it’s mostly important for tracking incomes
4. Ability to hide the cents on the headings. Just to make it even more minimal and clean

Nice design, very simple

I really love the way app looks. As a Ukrainian I would really want to use a Ukrainian app. However it’s missing some key functions that would make it compatible to other, more popular finance apps.

1. Show your overall balance on the main page, choose accounts which are included or not in the balance (like savings)
2. Connect cards. There are apps in which I can just connect my credit card, and it writes the spendings automatically. After that it’s almost impossible to get back to writing it down manually.
3. Subcategories
4. Budget planning
5. Widget to write down an expense

But the app looks great, I hope you develop it a little more, when it’s possible to connect the card - I’m your lifelong subscriber!

It looks gorgeous

I downloaded 8 money trackers to choose the best one, and all of them were not even close in terms of design. If you thinking about new features it would be great to have all accounts dashboard something like p&l and maybe budget planning. But it is already a bloody good-looking app!

Developer Response ,

You’ve made my day with this review :D

I’ll think how I can implement p&l into the app. The budgeting feature I already consider and definitely will add them in the future.
