HOW IT WORKS
Heart rate variability is a proven window into the body’s nervous system, going beyond a simple resting heart rate (RHR) measure. Training is all about stress and recovery and a hard session will lower your HRV score. By using ithlete to monitor training stress you can adjust sessions according to your body’s current readiness to train, improve and perform.

Please also note that this HRV app is NOT a heart rate monitor app, which people use during exercise. The ithlete app is an app that uses heart rate variability to indicate your state of fatigue, recovery and readiness to train following a 1 minute morning measure, and it is not used during the actual exercise.

I really wanted to like it. May be it was great 5 years ago. Now way outdated.
I purchased finger sensor hoping to have easier HRV measurements vs polar strap. Device arrived packaged nicely, longevity unknown. Cable feels same is iphone and that one never lasts long for me. Asked questions via mail an form about warranty and app. Still no answer. I used weltory , engy and elitehrv and i just couldn’t get what I payed for in the app when I already payed for device that can’t be used with any other free app. No details for measurements, doesn’t share data with apple health. Measured hrv within hour was jumping from 77 to 85 while I was sitting. Small irritating things. Why to start measurement each time with tiny button. Can be automatic. A lot of small things just made an overall bad impression. I was so excited to get it from all reviews I read but Just didn’t live up. May be was great in 2014 though. Pro app costs whopping 10 pounds not available in my local store and still doesn’t provide cloud sharing while all other free apps do... it does work though but can’t see myself using in often.
