Mortar Field 4+

To fire real mortar you need to know coordinates of a mortar and a target. The mortar crew then need to lay mortar in the most probable direction of targets will appear with artillery aiming circle. Mortar crew specifies main and auxiliary point of aiming. Then they calculate range and exact direction to the target. Then with usage of ballistic calculator or firing tables, the mortar crew determines how many charges they may use to reach target at calculated range taking into account difference in mortar and target heights, wind speed and direction, air temperature and charges temperature. After number of charges determined, the vertical aiming angle is found from firing tables/ballistic calculator, taking into account mentioned above meteorological parameters. The horizontal angle of aiming to main/auxiliary aiming point is determined by difference in the target direction and direction of laying taking into account meteorological parameters specified above. With mortar sight aiming man adjust horizontal and vertical angles of the mortar. The mine with putted on it charges is thrown to the mortar and is fired “automatically” by needle or by the rope. The forward artillery observer or drone (better) is looking for mine hit coordinates and reports corrections/error in range/directions between hit and target. After corrections applied to mortar aiming, the second mine may be fired. This is repeated until target is destroyed. But! The game is very-very far from reality…

In this game, you can’t aim your mortar before firing. Instead, it allows you to control the round in flight.
