Welcome to Pearls: Language Quotes!
Everyday, Pearls releases a new quote from some language around the world. These quotes may be common expressions, proverbs, idioms, jokes, poems, or quotes of any kind that may have some cultural significance for the speakers of that language.
Each supported language has its own page that contains a brief overview - where the language is spoken, how many people speak it, and language family - as well as basic vocabulary - "hello", "goodbye", and some other important words.
Currently, there are 5 supported languages: Spanish, German, French, Chinese, and Filipino.
The app will be updated regularly with new quotes, languages, and content. I hope that you enjoy learning a little bit about the world every day through these Pearls of wisdom!
