I used to be a loyal Prequel user because of the abundance of free filters it offered. Occasionally, I even purchased subscriptions because the editing options were absolutely perfect and fit my needs so well. However, upon opening the app recently, I noticed that now 95% of the filters require a subscription.I understand the need to expand paid features, but locking almost everything behind a paywall feels excessive. While I enjoyed the app and it saved me a lot of time, I’m no stranger to editing myself. So, unfortunately, I’ll be deleting it. It was a great app while it lasted, but this move just doesn’t work for me.

Hello!Global economic processes, like inflation, affect us, too. Prequel is being created by a big team, and we've got expenses that we have to cover constantly, e.g. cloud servers, salaries, store commissions, etc. We have to keep the company profitable, as well. Though, Prequel will remain a free to use app.We will be adding new free filters every month. Also, we've offer a discount for the annual subscription: ca 15 U.S. Dollars per year. You can find this offer on the Prequel main screen > PRO button > Close regular offer > Click "Open special offer".If you have any questions about Prequel, please write to us through the app settings > Feedback or by email at support@prequelapp.com.

I’ve been using this app for more than 5 years. It’s honestly very sad to see how much it has changed, and how greed has clearly become the priority. Even basic settings now seem to be locked behind the premium category.The “free” section is filled with the worst filters and effects that don’t look good on any video. I’m deleting the app once and for all. I genuinely tried to accept the changes and find something that still worked for me, but when the developers stop thinking about users like me, I won’t be thinking about them either.
