Good app experience, but where’s my data?

Found it to be a good replacement to Tinycards which is about to shut down. I use it for keeping my own dictionaries of three languages I’m studying and practicing. In terms of practicing and learning new words I find it even more effective than Tinycards — it allows me to do all in one series of exercises (seeing words and reading, typing, listening, repeating with good speech recognition experience for each language). Generally I like it, and I was about to buy lifetime subscription, but… I installed the app on my iPad too after I started to move my dictionaries on iPhone, to figure out that the data is not shared! I restored purchase — and nothing! The iPad app is blank. Where’s the data, guys? Do you expect people to store dictionaries per device? And does it mean that if one day I decide to setup a new iPhone/iPad without restoring the apps, I’ll have all my dictionaries gone? It’s a serious blocker for me to continue using the app. Ideally I’d expect my data to be stored in the iCloud. I hope you’ll fix it, and I’ll be back.

Good

Hi! The app is good, but I would like to have an opportunity to change the status of the words. For instance I have the list of words which I already learned and I understand that there are some words which I want to learn one more time. I want to change the status of these words from “learned” to “to learn” manually

Developer Response ,

Thanks for the feedback. Once word is learned, you can move it back to learning by simply opening 'Learned' group and selecting back arrow on the card. If you need more guidance, do not hesitate to drop us a line at hello@rmmbr.io ✌️

Translation into Ukrainian is just aweful

When I get an app for learning language, I expect the language to be perfect. My first language is Ukrainian and I wanted to learn German. I can bet that you guys translate German into Ukrainian in Google translate or similar tool. It’s impossible to read without tears. If you can’t provide a proper translation, just say that you support only English as a first language. Many apps do it and it’s fine. With you I only wasted my time.

Developer Response ,

We're sorry you had problems using the app. We're always aiming to improve quality of translation for words. Sometimes the translation is not perfectly matching initial word, so we're trying to illuminate those words from Card Sets, there is an option to report on each card. For the manual translation in most language pair you will have multiple translation options, so you can pick one which best suits the original word. With this knowledge, we would appreciate If you give the app another go and let uk know how we can improve. Our email is hello@rmmbr.io Thank you
