Description
This application provides the average "Radio Solar Flux" (sfu) (10^-22 W/m^2/Hz) units obtained from NOAA (US Government Weather). Solar Flux is used in space weather forecasting, antenna figure of merit testing, and other scientific applications. The flux values for each radio frequency are available by separate measurement stations or are by default averaged amongst the worlds measurement station in near real-time. The stations used are:
AU - Learmonth Australia
IT - San Vito Italy
US - Sagamore Hill United States
CA - Penticton Canada
HI - Palehua Hawaii United States
Note that all stations do not report all frequencies on every report. If the reports are not yet available for today on a particular radio frequency when the user runs the application, the app will display yesterdays values. Note that background colors are changed to indicate; Green=Todays data; Yellow=Yesterdays data; Red=No data.
Comments, suggestions and improvements are welcome.
