Editors’ Notes

Sending money to friends and family in other countries can be a pricey proposition, unless you can find a way to avoid the unfavourable currency exchange rates set by banks. TransferWise uses the standard exchange rate—not your bank’s—when you wire money abroad. It’s remarkably streamlined and easy to use, especially for frequent transfers, and it’ll save you plenty of dollars, pounds, euros, zloty…whatever money means to you.

The worst service for 2022

On my experience it’s the worst service I have ever seen and used. I wanted to open account to get my income for providing IT services (have an official contract with a company) FIRST they get my personal data and THEN notify me that I’m not able to open account from my country. Web & mobile app have no information about restrictions for my country and what’s more they have a detail info about any fees and other things for opening without any note about restrictions. That inspired confidence. So if it was known about the restrictions BEFORE I start KYC please be kind not to steal my personal data first but just forbid to register with an appropriate message. A lot of wasted time and nerves and now I feel myself as if I had been robbed and given nothing back. Support team is not responsible at all for any customer query, just send a general information like bots. Moreover to change mobile number, close account or smth else you need to pass additional hundred steps with this slow support team dancing with tambourines and doing different selfies with id and other KYC steps to complete these elementary steps. Obsession with safety as if we’re living at IX century is above comfortable service oriented for a customer. And now just looks like a BIG BIG FRAUD system and SCAM. Are you ready to respond for a moral damage caused to me???

Support policy disappoints a lot

I’ve been using Wise for a several years till now. Everything was pretty good. Low commissions, fast transfers, minimalistic and clear design.
So everything was good till last week. I got a suspicious transaction that I didn’t do. So I contacted support in order to get help. I got it - my Wise card was just deleted. I got an email with the link to create a new one. I thought it’s working solution for me but not in that case. Appears that Wise cards are not available in Ukraine at the moment. So I contacted supp again and got nothing except regards.
As a result I don’t have Wise card anymore and it’s not possible to do anything with it. The reason is simple - it’s not available in your country.
Summarising everything above, I’d recommend to be sure, that you don’t need Wise account or card before contacting support.
