All 25,000 useful English words are ranked in the order of IMPORTANCE, and USEFULNESS, based on how often they are used in real-world spoken English (extracted from thousands of movies, and TV shows).
To actually learn the words that you discover in your Knowledge Map, WordUp gives you everything you need, and more! From word definitions and pictures to tens of entertaining examples from movies, quotes, news, and more. So you get a good feel of how to use each word in context.

Excellent app
Hey devs! I find this app really great because I’ve been struggling for long time searching for free app that can suggest me “advanced” words to learn. All other apps looks garbage comparing to WordUp... why would I want to learn word “cat” every day if I chose “Advance” level of difficulty?
I hope you will keep working on WordUp and you will improve this app, especially UI, (yes it seems a bit uncomfortable to use). Thank you!

The best app for learning English words. It has immense db of words, every I searched so far was there. As well as sophistication of words they offer is on the high level.
Sometimes I got logged off, words I already learned and should not have seen reappear again as new one. Way to go, but so far the best, thank you
Don’t upgrade interface too much
The previous version was much better, now I mess up with context and translating. I know it takes time to get better and use effective this version but before was better. Now I can’t select a group of words or whole sentence and translate it by other translater. Please don’t change a lot next time. It’s very hard to focus on studying when every time getting a new upgrades.
