This program is actually works!

I tried many of these ‘Contact Duplicate’ remover programs to no avail, and this is the only one that I found that appears to actually work. I purposely duplicated hundreds of contacts and it successfully ‘weeded’ them correctly. I then did various other tests such as duplicate selective names and edited contacts to remove various attributes (i.e. email addresses and phone numbers) and the program functioned as expected.

I have not tried backed up to vCard and/or .CSV yet as l used a third party program to back up iPad (6th generation) as I’ll be migrating to an iPad 11’(2018)

Very pleased with what I’ve seen so far- was happy to pay the $1.99 to support this developer!

Only caveat is that this program is clearly created for the iPhone but works fine with iOS 12- it has the icon in the lower right to size up to the bigger display.

Works unlike all the rest

This one actually does work.
CSV files are in alphabetical order and actually include all the data field like you know phone numbers are kinda important

Already tried these garbage apps that don't include all data. Not in order
Junk: my contacts backup. Contacts backup+ transfer

Privacy!

A Contacts App to organize and delete the duplicates the way Apple’s native Contacts should! Best of all, according to their privacy statement, they’re not taking yours or your contacts’ personal info, to sell off! Thank you!
