As far as a free app goes, it works quite well. You can choose between night vision, infrared, X-ray, and one more I can’t quite recognize. The rub is that the iPhone just doesn’t have the hardware to make a true night vision camera, and in total pitch black, you get no picture at all. But, with just the tiniest amount of light in the frame, the rest of the image somehow takes that sliver and makes a pretty great image in the dark with it. You can see quite well then. The X-ray isn’t a real X-ray of course, it just uses a filter to give every object in the room the look of what organic, plastic, and metal objects look like through an X-ray machine. The thermal camera seems to be the most accurate. It accurately shows people and animals and other warm things as more reddish in color and colder things more toward the blue scale. Who knows really how this was programmed… anyway, try it out. It’s worth it for five minutes of fun at least.

This app has a couple really good filters. However as anyone who knows will tell you, thermal imagers and night vision cameras require special lenses to process the images. The thermal filter is a good imitation of what would would think to expect. But I tested it against actual warm surfaces and objects and it does NOT show temperature variations, obviously. The “night vision” is a little bit more useful as it does seem to SLIGHTLY amplify the existing light it takes in. But overall shame on this developer for misleading people. The app has some fun filters. But if you want an actual thermal image the cheapest option would be a couple Chinese phones that have FLIR thermal cameras as a feature for between $500-$600. And that’s actually a good deal.

This must be something for 5 year olds cuz any older kid would know better. Obviously it doesn't work at all. Total waste of time and space in the device. I can believe I installed this bag of lies. I mean I knew it doesn't work I guess I was just curious to see what some reviewers consider as "pretty cool" it is not pretty cool, it's not cool at all. Doesn't do anything besides spamming you with bunch of forced popped ads. Those who gave it more than one star are either 5 year old or they actually developed that garbage. - oh and for all those who will respond to this in that manner "what you complaining about, it's a free app" - it's not. They play all those fools who just install it to check what the heck and collect decent chunk of cash from their advertisers who you gonna be popped with before you figure out that this thing is not working at all and you got screwed. I'm truly surprised that Apple actually let this fly and be available in the App Store!
