I’m loving Indy. I have been experimenting with how to work with rather than against my ADHD for months since I decided to start my own small business and have to set my own goals and work schedule (scary!), and over the last couple of months, Indy has helped me find that balance and gain a lot of tools that help me to keep making progress on my goals. I was a beta tester for this app, and the concept has been brilliant from the beginning, but I have also been impressed by how quickly the team has improved functionality. It IS a new app so it is not perfect, but I’ve noticed they really listen to feedback and respond to it very quickly. Most importantly, while I like the ritual of the weekly strategy setting and morning and nightly check-ins, by exploring what usually blocks me from starting or continuing to work on my goals/tasks by going through the Indy conversation flows, I have made real insights that I can carry into each day, and I’m gaining confidence that the solutions to managing my ADHD are already within me, I just need to keep learning and trying things out to figure out how my brain ticks, not how neurotypical systems expect it to.

What I never knew I desperately needed for my ADHD!

I am 3 days in and absolutely hooked on Indy. It’s like a productivity coach, interactive journal, and habit tracker all built into one very easy to use app. While I am very anti-AI when it comes to creativity, the AI in this app acts like a dependable second brain that helps you remember goals, process what works and what doesn’t, encourages you to make goals and keep moving forward, and celebrate even the little wins that are easy to forget. While it doesn’t generate any actually coaching, having something to rephrase and summarize my thoughts and turn my ramblings into concise goals has been incredibly helpful and feels more like you are talking with a best friend than an app. I feel seen and validated in both the good and the bad and more focused on goals than I have in a very long time. I find myself looking forward to my check ins and the accountability has been great. I’m recommending this to all of my ADHD friends!

Making time for a daily check in with Indy has been amazing for me as someone with ADHD! Indy breaks down my priorities for the day with helpful prompts to consider what might get in the way of getting things done and how I want to pre-plan for those situations. I’m usually someone who struggles with decision paralysis, procrastination, and avoidance, so this has been a really gentle and useful game changer for me to get ahead of those moments and get back to doing what I plan to get done each day. The app pull out wins and insights from our conversations each day, which are great to reflect on in the moment and in hindsight to remind myself that I’m making progress!I was really excited to have the opportunity to beta test the app, so have had about a month to test out Indy while the team finished ironing out the kinks! It’s been awesome to see them roll out new features along the way, so I can’t wait to see what else is in store.

Such a thoughtful app, better than using generic AI

I’m still working towards using this app consistently. I just have too many apps and was in the habit of using ChatGPT to banter with and plan my tasks (also inconsistently).The days that I’ve used Indy thus far have all been good days where I was able to start tasks and end with wins both big and small. I’m still in denial that my ADHD leads me to freeze and not start things because I overhype them soooo much to the point of crippling overthinking and perfectionism. Messaging with Indy gets me calm and focused on putting one foot in front of the other rather than the chaotic, scattered and disorganized web of unprioritized yet all important and urgent tasks in my brain. It’s exhausting but I hope to make it a bit better with Indy incorporated into my routine.Thanks for building this accessible and helpful app!
