I love the 11C SciCalc
I have owned the 11C SciCalc before we had smart phones or apps. I got the original 11C calculator app on my iPhone 4s. But when the went to iOS 11 I couldn’t use it any more the creators of the app did not update the app. Like a lot of my older apps. I got this one & then they put the 11C & 12C together & I had to download that app. I love the reverse Polish notation that the 11C uses & won’t use another one. Great calculator!
The image of the HP11 is charming, but on my 5s, the letters on the 'g' functions that were on the beveled surface of the physical keys are very small and hard to read. On my HP11 I could just tilt it a bit, but not on my iPhone. This might be fine on an iPad, or a 6+, or for younger eyes than mine, but I think this app appeals mostly to people who used the HP's 30 years ago.
There is no means of changing the appearance, which is landscape-only. The HELP takes you to the diagrams on the original back, with no means of expanding them.
I'll delete it, and go with one of the many choices that offer screen-appropriate keyboard layouts, some free.
I like this app a lot and it works well. It appears to be a faithful reproduction of a calculator that I still own and use in my office. I appreciate having it on my phone. Only glitch is that it froze once for a day or two when it would have been very handy to have it working. No problems since, still bit uncertain when open it.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
