As the oldest running independent radio station in Texas, KBEC has been a prominent part of the Ellis, Kaufman, Navarro, Hill, and Dallas County areas since 1955. Its official motto is "Born in Texas, Lived in Texas, Played in Texas". When KBEC isn't playing Classic Texas Music, listeners can tune in for shows like "the Flea Market", "Drive at Five with Mike Roberts", and "Live in Texas". KBEC is also the best place to tune in for local Ellis County sports broadcasts by "the Voice of Ellis County" himself, Mr. Ken Roberts!
