Better than most

There is a new issue with alert notifications - I received 89, one for every minute, during a 90 minute period. Been using the app for 9 months. Thanks for fixing the title case issue in discussion text, but readability is still a problem on both iPad and iPhone. The font is incredibly tiny, waaaay too small. I really can’t bear it. Hopefully this will change in the next update. It would be greater to reverse the white on black background, too — it is terrible for the eyes. Otherwise there is a lot to like. The fact that there is good discussion is a huge advantage over the other, shallow weather apps out there. The map features are ok although I wish it would display more than one overlay at a time. Switching between clouds and precipitation and wind speed is a pain. I’d like to see all. The forecast graphics are hokey and not all that useful, especially “precipitation.” Little beakers that slowly fill to display a likelihood percentage of snow/rain per day? Grade-school level. I think the developers are on the right track, though, and this app is the best since STORM, which I’m still broken-hearted about. I use the NOAA enhanced radar app along with 1weather to get everything I need, especially lightning strikes.

Best in notifications, First to notify

Ah...Texas weather... constantly changing and can be dangerous with tornadoes, hail storms, flooding, ozone,100+ degrees, black ice...etc. A great weather app is as important as the great iMessage. I never ever mind paying for an excellent weather app that notifies ASAP and has the information I need right there and easily accessible. I have paid for the big five weather apps in the past, turned them all on and this app beats them all. The only negative is that the app does not have its own distinctive notification sound or a choice of sound. I have two other apps that have no choice in alert sounds and have the exact same sound. Needs its own sound(s) please.

Worse every update

This app has only gotten worse since I originally bought it about a year ago. It has become harder to read, less intuitive, slower, and more buggy every time it is updated. The current radar is unusable on an iPhone 7. It just doesn’t bother loading or playing. It sits there with 1/10th of the first frame of the map loaded and that’s it. The hourly forecast, if it loads, is more clicks away than it has ever been. All information is in its own oversized container which forces scrolling to the left and right just to see the days’ weather. So trying to get the hourly rain forecast for the afternoon requires clicking “forecast,” then “hourly,” then scrolling down, then scrolling right! That’s 5 clicks away from my phone’s Home Screen just to find out if it’s going to rain this afternoon. All the little rain icons and “xx%” icons in the world don’t tell me whether the rains starts in the morning or at 11pm. It matters. A lot.
The app gets worse every time they update it and I’m giving up. I just assume the original owners sold it off and no longer care about producing a slick weather app. It gets 2 stars because, when it does work, it seems to be more accurate than my wife’s app.
