The Coaching Calculators focus on one-step, two-step and multi-step linear equations as well as those containing parentheses, decimals and fractions :
one-step : x − 2 = 3 , x/7 = 2
two-step : 3x + 8 = 20, 2 = 5 − 6x
multi-step : 4 + 9x = 2x − 18
parentheses : 2(3 − 4x) = 2x + 9
decimals : 0.25x + 1.5 = 9.9 − 0.2x
fractions : (1/2)x − 5 = 3x + 1/5
Practice focuses on all of the above as well as harder equations with parentheses and fractions :
10 − 3(2 − 3(x + 5)) = 2x + 9
(1/2)(2x − 5) = 3x + 3/4
Students learn quickly as they work with Coaching Calculators and Practice to review each step of the solving process.
The step by step Guide includes many worked examples that highlight and simplify algebra that students find hard.

Examples are poor. No interaction. If you are going to read something, read your textbook. Save your money.
This is not a program
As a guide this app is OK but it does NOT solve anything for you. You find an equation from its list then use the steps provided to solve it yourself. If this app allowed you to input any of the equation types provided in the guide and then solved it for you, step by step, just like in the guide, I would rate this a 5.
