I have used 222 to meet new friends and have successfully made friends. They are very organized, friendly, great communicators, and pick pretty good places to hang out. The best part is that it’s not just dinner with strangers it’s dinner with people they beat match you with. And it took two part of it, so then after you get to go to a fun place such as a bar, Dancehall, lounge, or club. So it’s very versatile, as opposed to other apps I have used to meet new people in the city. And I say you must try three times because each experience is different, so by the third one you’ll have an understanding. If you wanna continue using it or move onto another one. I personally did try another one and ended up coming back to 222. I do have to admit, the other app did match me with people who are a bit more attractive, but the app did focus many of its questions on physical aspects. Well 222 app focuses on the personality and Internals. But overall, there are a lot of attractive people when all the groups get together and the second location they send you to. They they give you a text with your color as a conversation starter. It’s amazing, it’s fun, you have to try it, just trust me.!

This app gives me hope because even if you don’t meet someone that you might think is your person you may meet a bunch of people that you have just a nice time with and had a cool experience with. I’ve met quite a few people who have been going 9+ times than my 6 times and they still love it I’ve met a lot of people who are new to the area and I think it’s a smart way to make new adult friends. I like that it’s a thoughtful organized app for meeting possibly-compatible people. I like that it makes mingling more organic by having a loose structured schedule of activities. I think it’s always a good way to find people based off of liking the same activities such as rock climbing, meditation or sound baths, or over good food and drinks, etc. Also I think being in a group setting makes people seem to behave more authentically and platonically as a good start because there’s less pressure than showing up for only a one on one date.

I was super excited by the idea of 222. I just moved to a new city and would love to make some new friends. But I kept requesting invitations to events and kept getting declined due to “high demand.” It’s also hard to plan because you aren’t notified whether or not you’ve gotten an invitation until 9pm the night before. So if it’s an event at 11am on a Saturday and you don’t know if you “got in” until 9pm on Friday, it makes it hard to plan out your weekend. Also, most of the weekday events are at like 7pm, and with my work/commute it’s hard to get ready and to the venue by 7. I really like the idea of 222 as it’s much more difficult to make new friends in your late 20s and 30s than it was in your early 20s and thought this was a really cool concept. But in general I just had a negative experience with the app. Also, they started making it possible to bring friends with you. This also not only takes up an additional available slot, it ruins the whole concept of everybody showing up to meet new friends. If we’re all here solo it feels more inclusive for all. If people are showing up in duos or groups it potentially makes the other members feel isolated - again, defeating the whole purpose of this app imo… I also wish they had more available cities.

I was sent an event invitation and paid the fee in order to register for the waitlist. I was supposed to hear two days ago if this event was happening and where. I contacted support when I received no further information and was informed I would hear about it later that day; I still received no communication. If you are charging users a fee for the privilege to participate in your events, you should be over-communicating as to if the events are still on or not.I have still not received communication day of the event if it is happening or not. I am extremely frustrated as a user that I have to drive any attempt at communication, especially when I have been charged a "curation fee." I would not have been heartbroken if not enough people has signed up and then event had to be cancelled; however, I am essentially held hostage to this event that may or may not happen tonight under threat of being banned from the app. It is duplicitous to say it is the users' fault for creating a bad experience by not showing up and then providing no information about the experience in advance. To me it isn't even about the money at this point, it is the fact a company is putting a timeline into writing and completely failing to meet the standards that they set for themselves.
