2nd Chances is the only social site/app of its kind. We welcome only young widows and widowers because we know how important it is to connect with others who share our unique life path.
2nd Chances is designed specifically for widows/widowers ages 55 and under. We know it can seem challenging to find others who have lost a spouse early in life but there really are many of us around the world. 2nd Chances brings people together who have this shared life experience.
As widowed people ourselves, we know we can be a vulnerable population. 2nd Chances is committed to being a safe space for our members.
As a young widow herself, one of the creators of 2nd Chances is a mental health counselor by profession. She decided to obtain a specialty in grief counseling after the loss of her husband. The 2nd Chances Couple understands the emotional components of widowhood and the unique dynamics of relationships between widows and widowers.

Only Hetero Dating?
Wouldn’t let me buy a membership to really explore it, but there was no opportunity to identify the gender(s) of your partners. It automatically puts you in the pool to find only opposite gender people.
This is absolutely thoughtless on the part of the creators. Do better if it’s a thoughtless choice. If it’s intentional, at least have the courage to state that it’s hetero only before I download it.
Can't delete my account
I have no use for this app, and want to delete my profile, yet there is no way I can find to delete it. Very shoddy practice (I dare say shady) to have an app based on user accounts without an option to delete account.
Finally an app for young widows!
This app is fun and easy to use! I’m so happy there’s finally a place for YOUNG widows and widowers.
