  • Didn’t give me my refund! Or the workouts!

    StruckFromLightning

This app was great at first letting me see the workout of the day and the food plan was quite a good idea to use. It was all fun until I decided to buy the pro version because I supported athlean x and believed in this for the commitment. Then the workout of the days stopped working and Would always crash the app. I got access to the other pro workouts but not the free workout of the days it had came with. And so after realizing and reconsidering, I wanted to refund it. However, I did not get my refund back of 2.99$ and it makes me quite angry that I didn’t because it said it would and never sent me back the money. I no longer have access to the pro workouts as expected but where’s my money!? Or the free workout of the day???? Unacceptable, will never be looking into any other programs branded as this.UPDATE:I sincerely thank you for the developer to read this review as yes, it’s quite frustrating. What I want to clarify is that I was not refunded the money I had used to buy the pro version, and the free workouts that had come up with app always crashed the app but that issue is resolved. It’s just I did not get the refund that I used 2.99$ for

It seems there is a confusion on your purchase? We grant refunds on the app 100% of the time without exception. Not sure where you requested one? If you did not receive one then your app access would have remained unchanged and you would not have lost access to any of the pro workouts. It sounds as if you WERE refunded and now are seeing the free version again. Can you clarify so I can help?

  • Three dollars to continue?! What a steal!!

    Kaitlyn Moten

I did the first full week and let me tell you how much these workouts pushes you. I’m trying to get fit and something I struggle with is feeling motivated to workout for an hour. However these workouts are five minutes long and you’d think that wouldn’t be so bad and be easy but nope! Those five minutes will feel like the longest five minutes you’ve ever experienced! Not only does it come with the workouts but it comes with things like meal plans to help you. I have yet to try it but I do wish to give it a shot.As for the three dollars to continue the next seven weeks, I’d say it’s worth it. You get the seven weeks and more meal plans for breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with snacks. If you’re still not convinced, download the app and check it out. After a week you’ll feel great and want to spend the three dollars (which you aren’t losing anything compared to other programs that require you to pay a crazy amount and/or a subscription.)Plus the app has a thing for you to take a photo of yourself for each week and let me tell you. When looking at my stomach today compared to Monday when I took my first photo, I was surprised by how much better my stomach looked.Keep in mind that the only way this will work is for you to try your hardest and to push yourself. IT WILL HURT! But it’s worth it.So I ask you again, download the app and give the first week a try and believe me, you won’t regret it.

  • No gimmicks here

    Dom Childs

Usually I look down on fitness apps as they are typically gimmicks. I decided to try this one, however, out of respect for Jeff Cavalier. He's incredibly knowledgable and puts real effort into what he does. I was not at all disappointed. There aren't any secrets hidden in this app. Just two clear focuses. Consistency and balance. Each workout so far has been very well rounded targeting the upper and lower abs and obliques every single workout. They typically last 5 minutes so theres no excuse not to do them. A follow-along looped video for each exercise plus the in-app preset timer makes it insanely easy to actually train your core on a regular basis without having to take the time out of your day to constantly construct new workouts or god forbid keep repeating the same workout every day. All of this has significantly increased my training consistency and has absolutely trained all of my core muscles in a more balanced way. I've recommended it to several friends already.

  • Simple app to structure your goal of getting a sox pack.

    Stylix27

This app is great! Shows you lots of exercises and is good about changing it up to keep it engaging. First week is FREE! Afterwards is $3 to unlock the rest of the 8 weeks (and beyond!) *recommended* I’ve already recommended it to a lot of my friends already. Now, I know this is the “six ab promise” but I didn't get the six pack I wanted, mostly due to my own doing. Dieting and sometimes being unable to do the exercises for the full duration due to the lack of my own strength, and sometimes equipment limitations. My only complaint is that somedays, the jump in challenge is too much and I couldn't do the exercise to its max potential. That being said, I plan to do the 8 week program AGAIN to see how I’ve improved and see if I can finish the challenges this time. This is a great app to add to your workouts. If you are up for the challenge, I highly recommend it. 👍👍👍👍👍

  • Good concept, awkward workout plan.

    Flemmigan

I found that the first few weeks in the program work really well, but the progression in the core plan suffers from the same issue I found in the one Athlean-X program I've used, which is that it goes for novelty and new, gimmicky exercises nearly every workout, rather than consistency. Many of the exercises start to require awkward band set ups that take too much time between exercises, when the earlier workouts with almost no equipment already worked well. Furthermore, some of the workouts are clearly randomized with little thought (60 seconds of canoe crunches after 3 straight minutes of other exercises?). Finally, the app has little customizability, with no way to program your own weekly schedule or custom workout plans. You can save favorite workouts and randomize workouts based on equipment you have, which is good. If there were more customizability, this could be a 5 star app. As it is, it's good and definitely worth the price.

  • Perfect

This app does a fantastic job training your core and targeting all of the ab muscles in a single workout. I have abs and developed my own exercises prior to this app that helped me maintain my look, but let me tell you, Jeff's exercises tear apart my midsection every time. The definition and core strength is very noticeable after the first week and a half of consistent workouts. This truly is the perfect app because it also provides the meal plan, which I don't always follow it but it is helpful for those who want to gain muscle but still loose fat. All in all if you don't have abs but are determined, try it out and I am sure you'll be happy with the results just remember to take it one day at a time and not worry about finishing every exercise put your focus on doing them properly. If you have abs but want to improve and get that V or really shred the obliques this will do wonders for you and will be a challenge.
