Hey guys I had this app like around 2017 and told myself to start from the bare minimum necessities available. I would literally do it everyday not any of that rest day crap. I lost 14 pounds in like 3 weeks solid. But you also have to give it effort in diet and just have a little balance. I never had a diet I just committed to doing 7 mins a day and not letting anything stop me. It’s literally done before you know it. Honestly it does everything for you. It’s nothing crazy, simple dynamic workouts that are insanely effective. Even though I was no stranger to working out. I wanted to start from nothing (like no weights or machines) then I just added my weight lifting routine and when I was in better shape I started to modified my workouts again. But this will help you massively. This is what literally made me shred pounds. I was never much of a cardio person. This just lets you commit to 7 mins, tracks your days, holds your hand. Do over do a workout or under do one. Just literally 7 MINS is all. When you realize your not sweating from the basic outlined workout, it’s time to either increase the time or routine. Super Easy. I recommend this to everyone I’ve known that claims they don’t have time lol. Like the saying goes “It’s never to late to start” BUT “It’s always to late to wait!”
Preface: I started using the app again and decided to read through reviews from the past year or so since I left my most recent review. It seems clear that most people must be using this app on iPads and/or older/cheaper iPhones without the “dynamic island” hardware limitation. It’s still usable, but made difficult by the incorrect GUI scaling (too small, partially blocked and locked to the upper-left quadrant of the display). Are other people with newer iPhones not experiencing this issue? Or do you all just overlook it or think it’s supposed to be like that? This app has been mostly great over the years; however, when installed on an iPhone 14 Pro (and likely all iPhone 15 and newer phones with the “dynamic island” hardware limitation that Apple sold to everyone as a feature), the display scaling is completely broken. This makes it difficult to use and navigate within the app. I emailed the developer, so hopefully they will take the time to fix it. (I’m pretty sure this is abandonware, though.)UPDATE: I emailed the developer well over a year ago and never received a response. It’s pretty clear this is abandonware—not that it wasn’t fairly obvious due to several years passing without an app update. I twice reported the issues and lack of support directly to Apple. If the developer can’t be bothered to support their app/software and fix the issues with newer devices, then it should be removed from the App Store.
Wow! I've been using it for only a week and it is amazing! The money is definitely worth it. There are 4 bonus packs you can buy for $1.99 and under and the app is so good that I've bought all of them! You can actually get all the packs free by getting different achievements like working out for 2 weeks in a row but I'm too impatient, I couldn't wait. All together I spent $10 which was all worth it. Each pack has 12 exercises that are 30 seconds each and 10 second breaks in between (you can adjust the length in settings). The app comes with 1 regular pack which was fine for me but I like to challenge myself so I bought everything else. Give it a chance, for $2.99 the app has 12 work outs (60 all together if you'd want to buy any or all of the 4 extra paid work out packs for $1.99 or less that include 12 work outs each), activity calendars, result tracker, achievements, the whole back story and research based off the 7 minute work out, and so many settings you can toggle to fit your needs.
After trying many of the other 7-minute workout apps, I conclude that this one is my personal favorite, note the personal. Most of the other one require you to pay for other features when this app gives it after the initial purchase. The workout itself is amazing because I can keep my device turned off and the workout will still continue. The add-ons in this app are also great, but I feel like the initial workout is enough. The reasons why I gave this a 4/5 instead of a 5/5 is because of the lack of updates and the improvements there could be on the app to accommodate more recent devices, like the iPhone 6 or 7. Since it is out of date, the app drains a bit more battery on newer devices than it does on older ones (your device will send you a notification of this issue when using the app as a reminder). In the end, this is a very good app for those who, like myself, do not have the time to workout for long periods of time in an expensive gym. I would definitely recommend this app to anyone.
I downloaded this about a week and a half ago and am still going strong. The exercises are well designed and really give a total body workout. A couple of them were too difficult for me but with the help of a friend I have been able to compensate. The achievements really motivate me! I love getting that little panel of what I have accomplished after every workout. I have two critiques, and I feel they are minor points to how great this is overall. If you are someone, like me, who is looking for big results but is seriously out of shape one 7minute circuit is not going to be enough. I had a friend who is a personal trainer and she helped me navigate how to optimize. For someone who doesn't have that they may not understand the best way to use this app. I think adding a feature where folks who have purchased can get that kind of advice would be amazing. Also (and this is just a silly thing and the gamer in me) I think it would be awesome if we could define our own achievements. It would add an extra level of motivation and make it really fun.
This app has motivated me to work out because it's just THAT efficient AND effective! I've been using it for a month now, and here is why I love it:1. It works. This is the only exercise I get in a day, and I've noticed a difference. My arms are more toned and my posture is better! It's also good cardio! 2. The basic exercises are well-known and out there, but this app makes the process SO MUCH EASIER. I thought I could just get the exercises and time myself, but after trying this app, I don't know why anyone would!! The timer is crucial! Trying to time yourself takes longer, detracts from your resting/exercises, and adds one more obstacle for working out. I already have a hard time working out, but this takes away all impediments to that! This app makes it so easy - and it tells you when you're halfway through an exercise and also when you only have 3 seconds left! 3. This is great for people who just don't have the time to work out. I work 60 hours a week and I'm rarely motivated to spend any of my free time working out. However, 7 minutes is so easy. I do it first thing in the morning when I get up, or right before dinner.4. I'm motivated to keep doing it day after day because the longer your streak, the more free exercises you get. Great app. Highly, highly, highly recommend it!
