For many years, Aiken has only had a very few choices to have food delivered to your door. Now, 803FoodDelivery, is delivering all your favorite restaurants to your home, business, or event. We will be delivering 7 days a week. We are not a large chain that delivers food. We are a locally owned and operated company that wants to partner with all restaurants in our community to increase order volume and also provide a service to our community. John Boynton, the owner, has been in Aiken for over 20 years. He owns several small businesses in Aiken, SC. John has a vision for ever family, business, or organization to have the option of having a huge selection of food. First of all, I completely understand that delivery services are insanely busy during this crazy time. I want to say that upfront because that seems to be the first excuse that you get when you call to inquire about your order. Our order was placed at 5:40pm. We received it at 8:18pm. During this time, we received an email letting us know that our driver was picking up our food at 7:14pm. We live approximately 15 minutes from the restaurant. We waited 30 minutes after receiving the email and then we decided to call the number provided on the app. We were given several excuses including the one already mentioned as well as “the restaurant is busy and they’ve gotten a couple of orders wrong”. The person that my husband spoke with said he would contact the driver and call us back. We never received a call back. Our food was then delivered at 8:18pm. The food was cold and we were missing a portion of the order. By this time, we just wanted to be done with the whole ordeal. When you use this service, you pay a delivery fee as well as “taxes, fees and charges”. The taxes are self explanatory but what other “fees and charges” are included in addition to the delivery fee. I would also suggest that you compare the prices listed on the app with the restaurant menu. It seems that the prices are more via the app. We’ve used this service several times and we’ve had both good and bad experiences since we placed our first order in February of last year (2019). Sadly, after the terrible customer service, the ridiculous wait time and the questionable charges, we will not be using this service again.
