95.7 FM That Station 4+

This station, in its infancy is by far than other radio stations in the Triangle. I am hoping for local DJs and a listener curated playlist. As of now, there are some hits and misses to the mark, musically. I hope they will hone in on the format and concentrate on the Americana, reggae, roots and local music, only slightly peppered in with standard fare “radio rock”. If they could avoid playing the same songs every day and take advantage of their listeners expertise, they can truly be “that station” instead of “just another station”.

Often listen with app even in Raleigh as the sound quality seems better than my car radio. Only station I can put on and keep on for awhile even when traveling in rural North Carolina. DJs seem genuine and I appreciate when they tell me about the artist or song. For example I enjoy Hey Larocco more after hearing the backstory. Enjoy the features on artists coming to various music festivals. I have recommended this station to friends. Keep up the good work and I will keep listening!

That Station is what has been missing from radio. For so long I avoided radio, but glad I gave 95.7 a chance. It feels just like when I was a kid and discovering new music. I love turning on the radio again. But That Station needs to be playing A LOT MORE LOCAL MUSIC. For all of their claims of supporting local music, and while they do more than any other local commercial station, they definitely need to step it up a bit.
