I have used a lot top DIY solutions and I ended up with 10 apps. The integration of all the functions in one app offers great possibilities. We can unlock the front door from the doorbell view, the thermostat goes to off position when a window is left open for more than 20 minutes (you can choose), the best is that the thermostat will resume the program when the windows is closed, etc. Some improvements could be a better weather app (you don’t have the current temperature, just the range of the day), found the video can be a little bit challenging. If you look for a very good and integrated solution, you found it!
It’s just ok
Cons: Some of the app is great and some is not. Anytime the door bell rings I can not connect and there is no internet issues. When I click on the other cam notifications I have a 50/50 chance to get an error. Also my notifications get turned off (3 or 4 times for both users) and it’s not us. I found out there is an issue with iPhones.
Pros: it is fairly user friendly. They are working on the iPhone issue. Love the quick view playback of the day.
Camera keeps disconnecting from my system
I have so much hope and expectation from AAA home security. In just a month, this is the second time that the camera didn’t work and it disconnected from my wifi. I have another brand of camera and they are working just fine with my wifi, never had any interruptions.
It’s kind frustrating because troubleshooting is not easy. You need a technician.
The app also does not warn you if the cameras lost signal unlike other home security system.
Sometimes it also doesn’t alert you of any cars or person, I only found it out because I have another brand of camera and with that I still have to look through the 24/7 recording.
I hope AAA reads through these comments and take some action about this.
