Thank you for the update 3.0 and the ability to interact with and actually play and hear the instrument rather than just watching the videos. Being in a school without wireless, the app wasn't working to its full advantage until we updated it. AWESOME APP! Thank you!! Our students love it!
Where is the color??
Although I really love your apps because I love to expose my daughter to new concepts and enriching images, I am disappointed to say I that this music app really missed an opportunity to portray the cultural and racial diversity of musicians. I am struck by the images being predominantly of white people. While there are some images of people of color playing instruments, and I see that you made some effort to present some instruments that are not European in origin, music is SO rich in cultural diversity, and there are SO many extraordinary musicians of all races, I would have hoped you would have seized the opportunity to expose children to a more accurate portrait of the cultural diversity of musicians. Please make an effort to increase the representation of musicians of color throughout this app. Thank you.
Some instruments mislabeled
I like this app and will be happy to use it with my music students.... BUT..... I will have to warn them that a Native American flute is NOT a quena. The mouth pieces are not even similar. And the examples of xylophone include a glockenspiel, which is a common mistake that is perpetuated here. Xylophones have WOODEN bars (xylo is Greek for wood); glockenspiels have metal bars (glocken is plural for bells in German. Bells are metal.) In the next update, a fix would be appropriate. When that is done, I would be happy to upgrade it to 5 stars.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
