AC Sabre is a revolutionary wireless MIDI instrument and motion controller for electronic music producers, composers, performers and DJs which brings the dynamic richness and performance energy of traditional instruments to your digital music library, in a way that is not possible with the existing studio and stage tools.
"...mind-blowing videos...AC Sabre enables a sound engine to go well beyond the boundaries of typical keyboards and even more expensive MPE controllers....The future is here" – DJ Mag
AC Sabre reads your movements with the built in gyroscope and accelerometer and translates them into musical actions. It lets you pluck invisible strings in the air while controlling up to 7 additional parameters, intuitively with your movements, via MIDI CC messages.
“I had to check AC Sabre out and it immediately lived up to the hype...surreal and instinctive…” –Discchord
PLEASE NOTE: AC Sabre contains no sounds of its own. You'll need a computer with MIDI compatible music software (Ableton, Logic, Cubase, FLStudio, Reason, Garage Band, Massive, Kontakt, Sylenth...), or other apps which support MIDI input (Animoog, Nave).

AC Sabre is a high performance application that requires iPhone 4s+ (iPhone 5+ recommended), iPod Touch 5th gen+, or newer running iOS 8.1+. Also, while playing is definitely tailored more for handheld devices, it works splendidly on the iPad.
Windows users: You'll also need a (free) copy of rtpMIDI for connecting AC Sabre to your computer

What you’re looking for
This app is simple and rad. The setup isn’t plug and play exactly, but the web site provides very simple few-steps instructions and I was able to start making music with it in about 60 seconds. Using Ableton I mapped MIDI CC to parameters and had a blast.
I still have some more exploring to do with it, but best I can tell this thing does about 90% of what I’d like from it. A suggestion I have is to have another possible mode where the screen buttons are not notes but other MIDI signals, or maybe even switch MIDI channels (rather than having to use the corner slider). This way I could also maybe have the z-axis function as another parameter, rather than note values.
I’m very much looking forward to goofing off with this some more and making more music. Also, because the app is simple it’s able to run in iOS 9, which means I can dig up some old iPhones, install the app, strap all the phones into my limbs and turn myself into a MIDI ninja!
SOO glad I had the patience to find this gem of an app among all the regular midi control apps in the App Store. After a little bit of fiddly midi-configuring in Mac OS, this crazy cool app provides hours of interesting fun for any midi controllable software instruments in my Logic Pro X setup. Drum pads and keyboard midi hardware controllers sound pedestrian after monkeying around with AC Sabre. I would like a little more innovation, tho. A configurable X/Y pad mode would be awesome.
Never imagined a new way to feel music!
Put you hand up. Move it like a composer who is at the Jersey shore......not imagine wobbling your Bass or screaming lead Synth sounds being completely controlled by the movement. Do you like the bass? Can you feel the music?
The music is you.
