Good bank, terrible app and update.
I love academy bank, but I do not love their app. The new update has so many bugs and screw ups the developers should be embarrassed. First strike was having my account locked immediately after the update took place, second was the temporary password (which I entered in 100% correctly) did not work and locked my account again! And the last and final strike was when all was said and done, account login fixed and all, I go to check my balances and according to the app they don’t exist 🙃. Everyone I talked to on the phone was SO friendly and helpful and I want to make it clear that this banks employees are top notch! So now I have to call again (for the third time) and give off total Karen vibes about this app, which is disappointing because I was really hoping NOT to have to talk to a manager/change my name to Karen.
PLEASE fix the app.
The old version of the app was fast and worked fine. After updating I had to change my password because my account locked up for no reason. Now it’s up in the air if the app will load my account or if it will freeze right before it opens up my statement. I’m guessing this filtered over to the website as well because it’s doing the same thing. Whoever you guys paid to “update” your systems clearly duped you and we the customers are paying for it in more way that one. Now I have to call to get balance updates like it’s 1998.
The new app update is a joke. My accounts never show correct amounts, doing transfers and the app is so delayed I’m never sure if it has gone through or not. I’ve paid bills that never show they have drafted from my account. This is seriously unacceptable and needs to be addressed. I’ve had multiple issues with fraud since banking with Academy and the process to get that taken care of has been long and unnecessary but Ive been willing to look past that. The text alerts are useless now. Telling me I have a message instead of giving me the details is a waist of time. I’m giving this app one week to get fixed or I will be canceling all 5 accounts we have with Academy and moving to another bank. The old app worked fine and was consistent, I never had issues. I can look past many of the issues I’ve had with the bank but when it comes to not being able to accurately track my money, that is a big problem.
