How does a second chance bank make the best bank app on the planet? I've looked into it and Academy bank has $3 billion in assets, and $2 billion in accounts. Ummm... who are these bankers? DFC! I have several accounts with other banks and Academy far out provides, out serves, out banks any other. With my select checking I can get my funds from 24,000 ATMs with no fees. Tell me that ain't untouchable???? My account is free if I run debt transactions, it's crazy. And my highest paying CD, which I have several throughout the banking industry... is Academy Bank!!!! If you don't have atleast one account through them your missing out on personal service. AND... it's the only bank with a Walmart inside!!!
I know you see a lot of positive reviews on here and I’m pretty sure most of it’s from employees trying to help get new accounts. But I’m an actual customer that has had $29 taken from him for different times and they’re only answer is you have to have a little bit of luck or be the one to ask the questions to clear understanding how this bank works.
The bank will blame the call center and the call center will blame the bank branch and you would just run in circles hoping for an answer. You could have 100% proof and you could do everything right as they tell you and it still won’t mean nothing is they will find a way to blame it on you and not them. I don’t mind paying for my mistakes but it’s absurd that this call center and app has people believing that they could actually give quality customer service. Never have I had a bank go out of their way to make sure you don’t understand what you’re doing so bad like Academy Bank.
I have a bad issues with other banks but never like this. You’re better off managing your own money from your own pocket. And unless the Walmart is open 24 hours good luck trying to get to an ATM without getting charged up the rear end!
Choose to take my advice or not but just know you’ve been warned know when you can be mad at is yourself for not listening to me. Good luck on your ventures in life.

Customer service was great.
I had to re-enter all my info after the update. I too got locked out. But was on the phone for an hour and had the best customer service. Ask for Abby. She was very delightful.
I would like to see the fingerprint sensor as well. Look at it positive to refresh all passwords and security is better than being hacked.
