Ratings and Reviews
Beautiful, simple interface
I’ve bumped into issues with other podcast apps where they automatically downloaded shows without me knowing and it would eat up all the space on my phone. Acast has a wonderful interface that makes it easy for me to subscribe and see what new episodes my favorite shows have posted so I can download and listen when I’m ready. I’ve also discovered great new content through Acast!
Still a little buggy
The interface is not bad, and anything they don’t have in their catalog can be added via rss (except for password protected podcast feeds like The British History Podcast’s members feed). Still a little buggy, but usually a force quit and restart fixes the problem. It also doesn’t seem to sync played/unplayed status between devices.
A desired feature that should be easy to implement: allow for different skip forward & skip backward intervals. For example, skip forward 30 sec & skip backward 10 seconds.
I have been using this app for two years and it is my favorite! It has a huge library of so many different types of shows. It also has the best organizer of all them. It’s the only one that lets you organize oldest to newest. It also lets you hide episodes you’ve already listened too or started
