Great NYC service for disabled and wheelchair users!!!

I will tell you something...

As a disabled (paraplegic) person living in New York City, this is one of the best services (outside of Access-a-Ride, which is mostly for residents) for wheelchair users in the NYC area.

App-related issues aside, if you dial 311 in New York City, you could also book a wheelchair-accessible taxi/cab.

Without this App (or service), I I would not have been able visit my mother in the hospital the day she passed away.

It was an emergency and I had the app on my phone previously, and so within a short time, the wheelchair accessible cab picked me and my home health aide up, and dropped us off to hospital quickly...absolutely no time for bus or public transportation.

With the help of this app/service from NYC, I was able to visit my mother and say goodbye to her...

That’s all I have to say.



I used Accessible dispatch to transport me and my disabled daughter to the airport last week. The driver was RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, NO PATIENCE AND HE LEFT US AND WE HAD TO WAIT FOR ANOTHER DRIVER WHO WAS RUDE. He explained to me that dispatch does not communicate with them as far as what they’re walking into. I will NOT USE THEM AGAIN NOR WOULD I REFER THEM TO MY ENEMY.
