Description

OMG. Finally back. The Activity Timer.

You have a task to accomplish and want to manage your time in a effective way?

Then this simple activity timer is the right tool for you. It provides a plain and smoothly integrated timer for your OS X status bar. Choose between time presets (3 minutes, 5 minutes, 25 minutes and 30 minutes) which proved to be perfect intervals for all kind of activities. Or just define your custom intervals together with a custom message you want to see, when the timer has finished. This can be something which is motivating like 'well done, sir. Now take a break.'

For example you can just set 25 minutes in the "Activity Timer" and start the counter. You will get a smooth notification directly into your OS X notification center, when the counter has finished. Normally then it's time to take a break.

Great for timing activities

Simple and easy to use. This is great for being able to just set a timer when I want to box my activities. I might set 20 mins to check email, then when the timer dings, if I get off track I can go back to email. I like how this gives a pop-up notification when it is finished.

Changes I would suggest are:
- being able reorder the preset timers, it is confusing if they aren't in order by time or name
- Put the application name in the popup when you click it in the menubar
- right click options to pause, start, stop, restart last used timer

My Mac Isn’t Complete Without It!

I’ve been using Activity Timer for four years now, and even though I frequently try out lots of different apps and utilites to help streamline my productivity, Activity Timer is the one that has lasted the test of time. It’s simple, aesthetically pleasing, and sits right there in my menu bar. Plus, the pie chart is a perfect way to visualize how much time has elapsed. It’s been so helpful for time management during work sessions, and is a great way to stay focused and motivated.

Yes, it is just a timer app. But it’s a really good timer app. It’s simple, and does exactly what I need and want it to do. I will likely keep using this app as long as it exists.

Simple, Effective — and Just What I Needed

Sometimes less is more — and this app is an excellent example.
Simple, intuitive, small and unobtrusive, Activity Timer is a great pared-down Pomodoro timer — anything timer, really. I love how it’s easy to set and organize different timed periods. It uses very few resources while being easy to customize. Many props to the dev.

Oops! Gotta go. There goes my timer...
