Addictive Accounting 4+

I’m a full-time professional going back to college for my 2nd degree… My 1st degree shall not be named but let’s just say it’s “worthless”. I decided to pursue something more material and relevant to my current career trajectory and settled on Accounting. My online classes begin in a week and I wanted to prime my brain for learning again. After sifting through a few basic guides and sites, I found Addictive Accounting.

This app is immenseley helpful. All the concepts and information are delivered so easily and simplistically. Nothing was overcomplicated. I struggled in a few areas (especially when it came to AP/AR), but found that re-reading, slowly absorbing, and going through the modules again and again solidfied my knowledge. I did take notes down while using this app because I find it easier to retain info after writing.

Seriously though, thank you for creating this app. I haven’t purchased the 2nd part yet as I don’t want to get too ahead of myself… Rest assured, I will be unlocking the full content once I’ve dipped my toes in college once more. Again, thank you!

I started a bookkeeping overview course on LinkedIn and was struggling to keep up because I didn’t have a concrete understanding of that the vocabulary they were using “meant”. I thought, is there a bands on way to learn this as that is my preferred learning style. That’s when I found this app. It is developed beautifully. I’m a former educator and this app does a great job of explaining what things mean going from very concrete explanations and experiences to the abstract. The abstract makes sense because your brain links back to the foundational steps. Plus it’s hands on. Brilliant.

This app is super helpful and well organized in its structure, but I have some critique, the questions with multiple correct answers should have a button to check your answer down below at all times, rather than a button to continue popping up whenever you select all the right answers. If I’m looking at a question and I select one answer, but both are right, I’ll instantly know that both answers are right because the button to continue hasn’t appeared yet, so rather than learning and understanding why both answers are correct, the app essentially is telling me before I even get the chance to figure it out myself. Also, making a mini project/assignment at the end of a whole section could be a good way to help further comprehension. The little quizzes are fun, but more is more. For a free app though this is still awesome!
