"ADRIFT" is an award-winning serious game about consent that is appropriate for ALL ages!
You are a member of an interstellar salvage crew and have received a distress signal from an abandoned spaceship. The AI controlling the ship has been left behind and needs your help! Your job is to board the distressed ship and help the AI by extracting it from the derelict spaceship.
Do you have what it takes to help?
This clever game explores the concept and meaning of consent through a series of interactions between a member of an interstellar salvage crew and the AI found on an abandoned spaceship. Although this game is a great educational tool about consent, it does so in a very family-friendly manner and is appropriate for ALL ages!
ADRIFT was designed and developed by Quinn Crossley and Andrew Connell of the U.S. and was produced by Jennifer Ann's Group, a nonprofit charity that produces, publishes, and researches serious games about serious issues.

When I finished the game I got a black screen. It would’ve been better if text came up talking about consent but overall it was a good game and gets it point across.

Hi Zemadara -- thank you for taking the time to write a review and share your concerns.
First, we just saw the review today and apologize for this very late response.
It appears that ADRIFT is not running properly for you but we're not sure why that would be. When you finish playing the game ADRIFT will provide you a summary of how you did in the game, showing those instances (scenarios) where consent was a consideration. You should see a screenshot of that scenario along with a brief summary and an indication that you either responded CORRECTLY or INCORRECTLY in that situation. If you receive less than a perfect score the game would then encourage you to try again and give you that option.
As we work to figure out what went wrong please know that we do have a browser-based version of ADRIFT that is also free and we have not received any reports of errors of that version. It is available at our itchio page: https://jag.itch.io (there are several other games from our charity there as well - they are all completely free)
If you have a chance to provide any further details about your error that would be a great help but we understand that it's been a long time since you first reported this.
Thanks again and we hope that we can be of better help in the future!
There is no ending to this game and it keeps freezing at the point you jump off the deck. It has great potential but misses the mark.

Thank you for taking the time to share this information. We apologize for the delay but just saw this review today (one-person operations team here). We are sorry for the problem with ADRIFT. If you could provide us with some further details that would be great.
And although not ideal, ADRIFT is also available to play in a browser in case we aren't able to fix the problem you've experienced. A collection of our browser-based games (all free) are available at our itchio channel: https://jag.itch.io
We see that another person has had what appears to be the same problem so it's something we clearly need to track down and resolve. Again, we're sorry for the problem and the delay in responding. If you have a chance to send any further details thank you in advance.
