So far, ok. Seems easy to use. Love the ability to Save Favorites for quick finds later. Would love the ability to print the recipe from the app. Is there a way to submit recipes for review/add?
Loads of options and a feature to save them. Note: be an adult and avoid some recipes that are clearly not for you or your goals. Example: high sodium or high fat content.
Horrible recipes. Not for healthy living at all.
Theses recipes are not for loosing weight or health conscious people. I saw a small breakfast with a sodium content of over 1400. Some of the recipes are add salt or generously add salt and pepper. Bad for people struggling with high blood pressure. Fruit and vegetables dilapidated in oil, Etc... they might taste ok but not for loosing weight or healthy living. I didn't read all of the recipes but the ones I read I was highly disappointed. Their might be a few good ones but you really have to read each recipe and do your do diligence. For using the advocare name, not cool just to get app downloads.
Developer Response ,
Hi Lucky, I'm sorry you didn't find our app useful. We do actively monitor our recipes, especially the one's we claim are Advocare friendly. All of the "Challenge Recipes" should be in line with Advocare's standards. Some of the other recipes under other categories are not meant to be used for challenges but do still fall under that category of low calorie meals that can be used as part of Advocare's 80/20 rule after or between challenges. You do make a great point about those who may suffer from high blood pressure, or other health conditions for that matter. It is important for anyone who may suffer from various health conditions to communicate with their doctors and not trust recipes found in any app before consulting with their doctor about their specific needs, regardless of any health claims an app might make. These situations are unique and out of our control, as they should be. We still believe that our recipes are perfectly healthy for the majority of people trying to lose weight who do not have specific health concerns beyond losing weight.
