Adze gives you the tools to edit GPX documents like a pro: create, modify and delete tracks, plan routes, mark waypoints and more.
The Lite version is limited to saving documents containing a single track.
Merge tracks that shouldn't have been split, or split tracks that should have. Delete undesired sections or extract detours as a separate track.
If you're planning an expedition, Adze allows you to plan the route and mark waypoints, check distances and view the proposed route on multiple maps before exporting the GPX data to a device.
Optimise tracks to remove redundant data, change item names and colors, edit GPX document metadata and prepare your documents for sharing.
Add, move or remove points graphically with the Edit Point tool, or use the points list to manually edit values.
Adze can identify areas where you stopped for a rest, lunch, or an overnight stay and automatically split your tracks at those locations.
Change item names or colors and give your GPX document a title, author or description.
Offset timestamps by a fixed amount, overwrite them in bulk or remove them completely.
View statistics about duration, speed, elevation and gradient for entire documents or selected sections.
View your documents on a road, topographic or satellite map directly within Adze or export to KML to view it in Google Earth™.

Map navigation is terrible
Please make navigation like in Google MAPS. I want to zoom by double-clicking and scrolling over the the right point. I want to move the map by holding the cursor. Really a lot of time spent on terrible navigation!
Amazing at what it does!!!
I have been using this app as needed for about 4 years now. Prior to having this app my options were either to use a basic text editor with no spatial GUI or use GIS software that was a bit overkill when I only needed to work with GPX files.
It is true that the panning and zooming function does not feel refined, but for an app that is reading and drawing thousands of points and fetching a map every time you change the view I believe that it does very well. If exploring an area is your goal there are web apps with much less editing function that are designed for that task.
The developer of adze has created an amazing graphic interface for working with gpx files that doesnt require a workstation PC to appreciate or any knowlege of xml format and experience with creating your own tool scripts. Among many other things, the app allows you to quickly extract a section from a route or activity, make any edits you like, and then save it in gpx or kml format for loading into Google Maps, Strava, Garmin, ArcGIS, or your own tools. If the file exported from this app isnt working in the program of your choice, it may be helpful to check the order of your time stamps to ensure that the points are in the order you intend them to be. The keyboard commands quickly become second nature making this a very fast and easy option for editing, extraction, and assembly of routes and tracks. If these are the tasks you hope to accomplish I recommend this app!
Needs the ability to pan maps
This is a good, simple to use app to review multiple GPX files. Unfortunately, it has a critical, annoying flaw: there’s no pan button! Attempting to move the map in any direction doesn’t work. The only menu options select specific routes. Very annoying.
