Aeronaut is the lovingly crafted Bluesky app designed and built just for the Mac.
• Browse your Following timeline, your list feeds, and any community feeds that you’ve saved
• Send posts and replies in Aeronaut’s delightfully intuitive thread composer
• Like, bookmark, repost, and quote other people’s posts
• Search posts, users, and hashtags
• Chat with other users through direct messages
• Add multiple Bluesky accounts
• Follow, mute, and block users
• View your mentions and other activity
• Receive push notifications
What makes Aeronaut different:
• Thoughtful Design: every little detail has been labored over to make Aeronaut the best way to experience Bluesky on the Mac
• Timeline Continuity: new posts are seamlessly added to the top of your Following timeline while preserving your reading position, so you never lose your place
• Mentions at a Glance: Mentions live in their own tab, separate from other Activity, each with independent unread indicators so you’ll always know when someone might be awaiting a reply
What’s still being worked on:
• Syncing your timeline position across devices
• Saving feeds from within Aeronaut
Aeronaut is mostly free to use, you can view feeds, search, follow users, and like and repost all at no cost. But to help support continued development these features require a subscription:
• Sending posts, quotes, replies, and direct messages
• Using multiple Bluesky accounts
• Receiving push notifications
You can subscribe monthly or yearly, and the first 7 days are free so you can see what you’re getting. Cancel within 7 days and you won’t be charged.

Solid native app
Chris Hubbs
Looks clean, does what it’s supposed to do. One feature that’s missing is a setting to auto-scroll. I have the dang thing on my desktop, I’d like to be able to just let my feed scroll past without having to manually scroll it. That feature gets added, it’s a no-brainer 5-star app for me.
Makes Bluesky usable on a Mac

Aeronaut is a very stable and enjoyable way to read skeets. I tend to do most of my timeline-type stuff on my laptop, so it’s great having an app that holds my place so well. Worth the price for that alone.
Too Simplistic
Dave.Trotter
Wanted to like it, but there’s no way to create multiple columns for different feeds, etc. Ends up looking like a phone app stretched onto a laptop screen.
This release adds support for Bluesky’s new video upload size limit, which has trebled from 100MB to 300MB.
Also in this release:
• Performance improvements to keep Aeronaut feeling snappy when left open for long periods of time
• Under-the-hood changes to support tweaks that Bluesky is making to image embeds
