My FAVORITE way to Level Up my life!!

I have been using Affirm to make larger purchases for the past few years, and Affirm has enabled me to purchase 2 Rolex watches - one for me and one for my wife - which I most likely never would have purchased otherwise. The convenience of qualifying for a purchase, making the purchase, and then making automatic payments to Affirm on my purchases is unmatched - period! What I love even more, however, is the ability to have a savings account with Affirm!! Affirm gives me the ability to automatically deposit funds on a weekly or monthly basis, and as a result I have been able to grow a fairly substantial little nest egg without ever thinking about it! And as if things couldn’t get any better, Affirm allows me the ability to withdraw funds and have them automatically deposited into my checking account whenever I wish, which I have done a few times when unexpected expenses have presented themselves. I haven’t found an easier or better way to save money in the past, and this savings account has been a real lifesaver on more than one occasion. I highly recommend Affirm to everyone I know and anyone I meet!!!

Pretty good…… sometimes

Affirm is good for large purchases if you’re able to get approved. I had issues getting approved at first and my credit was good. Affirm doesn’t list a minimum credit score to qualify for a loan, but some websites state if you have a 640 or above, you’re more LIKELY to get approved. I don’t think that’s truly the case because I had a credit score well over 640 & I was still denied at first for small purchases less than $400. Then I was approved for a purchase of $2000. It doesn’t make sense at all. Every time I login in, it tells me I need to get pre approved again! My pre-approved amount always changes. I was pre-approved for one amount and when I logged back in, the amount was significantly lower. More than likely I will not use affirm again. I’ve paid off loans with them & even paid off some loans early & I was still unable to get another one. Another issue is, I doubled up on payments for one month, I thought it was go towards the balance for the next month & it did not. I still had to pay for the next month. If I would’ve known that at first, I would’ve never doubled my payment. Instead I would just continued to pay month to month.

I’m not really sure how Affirm works but it’s a major headache. I will stick with other companies. The upside is, the interest rate isn’t that bad. Far less than other companies.

Each loan is uniquely underwritten and results may vary after applying across our partner stores. When you apply for a loan with Affirm, a number of factors are taken into consideration including eligibility requirements, your individual history, and individual store policies. If we're unable to approve your loan, you'll receive an email with details of that decision. -TL, Customer Care

Overall good but...

Easy to use, pretty self explanatory app. Enjoyed it a lot to pay for a jewelry purchase. However, if you make a payment, interest will still accrue while the payment is processing, which can take a few days. I made extra payments and set it up to do a final payment on the amount leftover, and had an item I thought paid off 1.5 months early, and I log into Affirm and it says I still owe 42 cents. Why would anyone pay all but 42 cents for an item? Affirms system left me unable to pay the remainder as I’ll explain further. No problem, I try to pay the remaining 42 cents, but it cannot take a payment below $1. So I think okay, I’ll pay a dollar, but no, it won’t take more then the balance due. This is not an acceptable set up. My interest rate is low so it’ll be a long time before it’s accumulated to be able to make the dollar payment. I wanted to have it paid off as of the last payment. Which should have been the case. The app should not be set up in such a flawed way that people cannot be able to make early payments IN FULL and their loans be paid off. If anyone from Affirm is reading this, fix this bug in your system right away and make everyone’s lives a little easier. These flaws only hurt consumer confidence in your system.
