It freezes in iPhones. Happened last year to on my older phone. Not that big of a deal, just restart. My biggest complaint is when I get a notification for an event on the calendar and I click it, losing the notification, and it doesn’t take me to the event.

I'm so disappointed in this upgrade. There seems to be even less functionality than there was last year. Although I'm glad they've added the filter option for tracks and you can search the sessions.They've removed the ability to go through the schedule, favorite (or heart) sessions, and view them under your "favorites" section. It was also easier to add each session to your calendar last year and plan out all your sessions synced with your calendar. A very helpful feature for the neurodivergent community. Instead of improving on last year’s functional design, we have to learn to navigate a new app design that works less efficiently

I’ve been using AfroTech Connect since last year, and the app has definitely stepped up. It’s smoother, way fewer bugs, and the event navigation actually works now. You can tell the team paid attention to community feedback — big improvement overall. Appreciate the devs for listening and making real progress.

The app was fine on Wednesday, but when the conference really kicked off, it was constantly crashing or giving error messages. The last update included live updates and the feed (which were great updates), but didn’t produce any information. Growth is a great thing! However, the app wasn’t able to keep up in real time which caused me to have to check the website for updates. It would’ve been nice to have this working throughout the conference.
