A couple of Minor Things

It would be nice to be able to put in info for the future. I’m eating dinner at 7, and it’s 6:52, but it won’t let me add carb info. I have time and i’m thinking about it now... i may not later! Totals for carbs per day would be really handy. Being able to swipe and see tables of the other items would be handy as well. Also being able to delete readings if there were some kind of error. Being able to put in decimals in the carbs would be nice.

Love the bluetooth though! Mine’s usually synced by the time i open the app to check it.

Good functionality, but would like more robust options

I was recently diagnosed with prediabetes and got a glucose meter to monitor my blood glucose levels. This is the app that's compatible with my meter, so it's the one I'm using. Honestly, I like it just fine, with a couple minor quibbles.

1. It sometimes has difficulty syncing with the meter. I've found that if I force close all my other apps and then start this one again, it will usually work.

2. I would like the ability to set a target level for fasting readings, specifically. Since a diagnosis of prediabetes (and tipping over into type 2) relies heavily on fasting blood glucose levels, I'd like an easier way to see whether or not I've been in the normal range for it. Currently I can set a hypo, hyper, and general range, but since the range for post-meal is quite different from the range for fasting, it doesn't show me whether my fasting readings are what I want them to be.

Misleading BG. Dangerous UI

I am a scientist and have been graphing my blood sugars since 1979. I love seeing my blood sugar presented in a graph. I also like seeing other information such as meals and weight presented this way. But for a diabetes application, this can lead to disaster. Never present multiple graphs to a diabetic simultaneously especially as the primary display. A diabetic with low blood sugar can easily mistake their weight for their blood sugar and take extra insulin.

I think the top screen should have huge type and show the current blood sugar. After five minutes since syncing, the application should only present integrated graphs after the user goes through a sequence of menus.

Thank you for your suggestions. Our app now includes a Dashboard View that allows you to display only the blood-glucose data you want. This view can be set as your default screen so it is the first thing you see when you open the App.
