Wonderful Simplicity But Needs Polish

The developer is very responsive and has addressed a couple of bugs reported. This software does what it says: creates a simple agenda to keep meetings on task. I do wish it allowed for more elaborate formatting on export because agendas are not simply for the host of a meeting, but for the attendees as well and they should be able to receive a good looking document to review. Currently, the agenda export supports plain text with some bolding but even then headings are missing. The actual agenda produced is more like speaker notes.

I'm sorry you are having an issue with Agenda Minder. It is not abandoned. Please contact support (email to so that we can address the issues you are having. In general, you can delete a meeting by selecting it and typing command-delete or clicking on the large - icon in the tool bar. Agenda items can be deleted by selecting the agenda item and pressing the delete key or selecting the smaller - icon in the agenda item tool bar.

Thank you for contacting support with additional details on the issues. A fix for the meetings not being deleted is being reviewed and will be released as soon as possible. Note that the preferences for meeting and agenda item field names requires an app restart to show in the UI.

Update 2
The fix is now out v 1.90

Great app. Works very well.

I use the app to make sure I can either capture meeting notes during the meeting in a structured way (and email notes to all) and/or prepare for meeting and list all the points I would like to mention (pre-meeting notes), without being limited by my email/calendar app (and forget to save as draft…).

I hope some form of calendar integration is available in a future release, but this is really useful as is. App is clever and elegant.

In Need Of Serious Polish

This app is a nice idea. The design is simple but fairly functional. The problem is a lack of polish. The app feels unfinished in many ways. For example, you expect that typing ⌘P will print a nicely formated agenda that you could take to your meeting. Instead, it prints a page that only shows the currently highlighted field in the middle of an otherwise blank piece of paper. Also, if you’re writing in the Prep Notes field and hit Return, instead of giving you a a new line, it moves you to the next text field. If you want a new line, you have to hit ⌥-Return. There’s no way to archive your agenda after you are finished. These are just some examples of the kind of thoughtful touches that are missing from this app.

This could be a nice, useful app, given some more thought and effort by the developer. In the mean time, I’m going back to a bulleted list in TextEdit.

Developer Response ,

I really appreciate the needed improvements for Agenda Minder. I've updated several versions since you may have last tried Agenda Minder. I've updated most of the behaviors you've pointed out. ⌘P leads to better printing behavior, return gives the expected new-line. I don't provide archival functionality but use the current and past filters to allow you to only see the items of interest. Its a different design intent and I do have export and archival on my list to experiment with for the app. Again, many thanks for taking the time to give me some great improvement suggestions. Try version 1.50! its much improved.
