Agora is a journaling and mental health app that makes it effortless to find happiness and peace with the support of a community.

If we want to live happier and more tranquil lives, one of the most important things we can do to become more mindful is to take a moment each day to reflect on our emotions, our values and ourselves. But it can be hard to stick to this daily practice -- and to feel like you’re making progress -- when you’re doing it all on your own. Based on Stoicism, the Agora iOS app provides an easy way to do this daily reflection with the support of others.

When you download Agora, you’re joining a community of people who are also trying to cultivate a Stoic mindset in their daily lives. Every new day is an opportunity to see how others in the community apply the daily quote and grow resilient together. No one grows in isolation, so sharing thoughts and experiences with others is a great way to promote your own growth and help others along their own paths.

A great daily practice / needs more

I use this app everyday to take a few minutes of time to consider a Stoic ideal and respond in kind. I like seeing other people's takes on that ideal, it helps to know we are all on the same shared path. The character limit is tight, which does help constrain and moderate what we can offer, but feels a little short.

The app needs more features, though.

We should be able to export our data if we like. The character limit should be expanded. I would also like to follow other people and see them in a feed once the app gets more users. A death clock would be a nice addon, as well as the ability to add additional meditations at night as well.

I understand the name of the app, but without adding more terms it is hard to find on the app store.

I look forward to seeing where the app goes in the future.

A new app that needs some polish but is off to a fantastic start and the base idea is just perfect! A bite a stoic wisdom for the day; a chance for you to provide a brief meditation of your own about it, sharing it with the community who is all pondering that same but of stoic wisdom alongside you; and then you can dig a bit deeper reading meditations from the community and also other related content like a podcast episode about that same topic of the day.

THIS is what modern social media should be, and the answer to that banal evil of the modern world.

A great app for building stoic habits!!

I am really pleased with this app. I have been a practicing stoic for a number of years and this is the first app that has gotten me to practice journaling on a regular basis. The quotes are thoughtfully chosen. The prompts are helpful without being dogmatic. Being able to see others reactions to the quotes has been very helpful in making sure that I am moving in the right direction without the negative commentary that other apps and communities allow for. This one is a really great app!!! Bravo!!!
