This another bait switch app, all of these photography app have no integrity, they make false promises and falsely advertise. This app was amazing at first but just like all the others they got greedy. Once you make a yearly subscription they add what called credits or tokens. Which is never mentioned in the app purchase to begin with. When i first bought this it didn’t even exist. So what happens is you spend $60 thinking you can get as many pictures as you want but then after you purchase they immediately change the app and that $60 basically fives you 60 tokens or credits when gives you what 3 pictures then you have to pay additionally for credits to make pictures!!! This is theft and false advertising. None of these apps care about the customer or for people who are on a fixed income. It’s a bait switch tactic just like chat gpt CapCut, dreamlux, Riveo you name it I bought them all and every single one after purchase changed immediately after purchasing. They did not function like they said and then added credits or tokens or you had to pay more to even make or create art. It’s absurd. It’s false advertising, it’s wrong. When you pay that should be the end of it. None of these apps care about people on fixed incomes and especially lower income families it’s all Greed. It’s all here but my product bc we promise this then you buy it and all a sudden the features you thought you bought are all restricted and you have to pay even more to use it! It’s wrong. That’s not what was in the description I don’t care if you had whatever in fine print if you had some vague description opening yourself up to cheat people out of their purchases then your just scamming them. It’s criminal.

We sincerely apologize for the deep frustration and sense of deception you have expressed. We hear your anger and disappointment, and we understand why you feel misled. Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed experience — it is critical for us to understand where our communication and product design have failed. You are right that the transition to a credit system after purchasing a subscription can feel like a "bait-and-switch" if it was not clearly communicated upfront. We acknowledge this breakdown and are actively reviewing our subscription flow, app store descriptions, and in-app messaging to ensure the model is transparent before any purchase is made. The intent is not to restrict users after payment, but to sustainably support the high computational costs of AI generation. However, we clearly failed to communicate this effectively.Your feedback about fixed and lower-income users is especially important and something we take seriously. We are committed to reevaluating our pricing and credit structure to provide fair and predictable value. To address your specific situation and investigate what happened with your subscription:Please email us at support@hitpaw.com with your account details and User ID. • Laughably bad,Patchy and Dark Pattern driven app! A money grab!

    Argus019

Firstly, the app claims to be free with in app purchases but it DOES not work unless you purchase a weekly pass at the minimum. This itself is deceptively woven into the workflow. Then, this so called WEEKLY pass is for a number of credits and does not last for a week! Again, the UI/UX is such that you do not know WHAT actually uses the credit and how! Sometimes previews and undos use it up.Now, getting into he actual app. The pics and videos they show in app and the App Store about the functionality is HORRIFYINGLY MISLEADING!! Using a wrapper around the most basic of Chat GPT version, it butchers your pics and videos and doesn't even render a passable shadow of what they promise. I wish I could attach the screenshot of the laughably amateur "colorization" it did of a simple B&W pic! And the absolute butchering of a pic to "animate" Ridiculous, low effort coding and dark patterns for a laughably amateur app developed by delusional incompetent devs!

  • Felt Misled After Paying for a Full Year

    Scarneg

It’s hard not to feel a little taken advantage of. I signed up for the annual plan because I believed it would give me unlimited access — that’s what was implied. But by the second day, I hit a usage cap and was asked to pay more. That caught me off guard. It makes me wonder: was this really about offering value or just getting users in the door? All I wanted was a fair deal. I paid upfront in good faith. Now I’m being asked to pay again? That doesn’t feel right.Or… perhaps there’s something I’m not understanding. If that’s the case, I’d really appreciate some clarity — because right now, it just doesn’t add up.

  • HUGE Mistake buying the subscription!!

    Rgra1974

I knew it was going to be a mistake paying the subscription without having a free trial that let’s you play with the app, they could have added watermarks to the results. I tried to delete objects on 5 photos and the results are extremely bad, like somebody brushing some colors on top of the removed object. I even tried it with photos in popular placed thinking that the app was going to give better results. In addition to that, I have tried several filter and I keep receiving Oops! Something went wrong - Service is busy.I decided to gave it one last shot, tried all the features and I can say, it is the WORST application I have purchased. Too bad there is no way to request a refund because the images and videos they advertise are misleading.

  • Defects and disappointing results

    baton1547

I purchased a weekly subscription, but it showed 0 credits. I was immediately prompted to purchase additional credits. I added 300 credits for $4.99, and just a few seconds later, it seemed I already had credits—spending another five dollars unnecessarily. While it’s not a big issue for me, it felt misleading. After seeing the initial ad claiming the app could bring old photos to life using AI, I uploaded one of my old black-and-white pictures and generated an AI image. The result barely moved on the screen. Each time I tried a different option to improve it, it cost 20 credits. The final result was extremely disappointing. If there were an option to request a refund, I would ask for one immediately. I’ve canceled the subscription and deleted the app.

  • Impossible to install on IPAD

    absolutic

I was able to install the app on IPhone (paid for year of services). Unfortunately when I tried to install it on both my IPAD Pro 12.9 inches and IPAD Pro 10 inches, the app is impossible to use because on both IPADs it got stuck on the first demo page when you initially open the page “REMOVE THE SUBJECT” it says and there is a left arrow, you can press that arrow 100 times and nothing happens. I thought it was a problem with my first IPAD so I tried on the second IPAD - same. This probably must not be optimized for IPAD that’s why it APP store installs it on IPad but it is useless. Hopefully company can fix it in firmware
