It could be a lot better if we can download "unknown file type" file, then it can be moved or saved to Files app in iOS to working with another app. Right now it can't do anything with the downloaded "unknown file type" file, click "open with" it does nothing or "email" the app crashed to the home screen.
This Asustor ecosystem has a lot of potential, i hope Asus can develop the app a bit faster.

Complete garbage. Wont download files of unknown type (adds a progress bar to the activity list but you can’t access the supposedly downloaded file). You also can’t use open in app (opens a modal downloading graphic but doesn’t ever download or open anything). This result is consistent across my iPad Air 2, iPad Pro (M chip) and iPhone. Do better ASUS!

Update: Wasted my time trying writing up use cases and steps to reproduce and (tried) to send to the developer so they can fix their garbage- I got “undelivered mail - email address doesn’t exist” from my mail provider (ProtonMail, which is awesome). This app is a joke!

Hello, please help to clarify about the unknown type files issue, the files didn't downloaded to mobile phone, or it cannot be opened after the file downloaded? AiData is a file management to browse/upload/download/share files on the NAS, it cannot support to open all files in the app, it can only playback videos/music and photos in app, and you need to install extra app on mobile phones to open other specific files. I should not have to purchase a new ipad in order to view the files on my NAS. It was a horrible move on Asustor's part to update the app and not make it backwards compatible. I have an iPad Air and it is not compatible with all of the features of iOS 13.

Will Asustor be shipping new iPads to people so they can access their files?

Not being able to access my files remotely makes having this particular NAS useless!

AiData previous version crashing issue in iPad with iOS 13 has been fixed in v1.7.9. Other users feedback us that the version works well now. Could you help to contact stanleyhsu@asustor.com to describe the problem you met now ? what's the situation about open files ? Thanks a lot.
